Races- Big Blue Races
A well done series, that has some pretty tough races. The most challenging leg we've done yet may possible be the bike leg of the Big Blue Santa Barbara race.

A great site for buying gear. They have good prices, and they don't sell junk gear.

Bunch of content here, also a few teams have websites there.

I've never raced in Chicago, but these folks have some useful articles on adventure racing. Read them. (They're short.)
- Attackpoint.org
This site provides an awesome training log for orienteers, but it works for any training, really. (Check out username DartVG, and maybe LuckyJ.)
- Hammer Nutrition
We get gel and electrolyte caps from these guys. They sell all types of food supplements.
- Alpine Aire Foods
These guys make the only self-heating meal I'm aware of, and lucky for us, they want to help us with Primal Quest. (They also have a good gluten-free menu, for you celiacs.) I highly recommend the inferno chicken pasta parmesan.
